ANZ India currently employs around 1,800 people in Bangalore. Approximately 1,100 of these roles are information technology development roles, and the remaining are back office and support roles.

ANZ's presence in Bangalore reflects its development as a global technology centre with many of the world's largest companies, including IBM and Microsoft, basing key parts of their technology and operations support functions here.

ANZ India is headed by Shane Freeman.

The Technology division is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of technology solutions for ANZ and also for design, testing, implementation, operation and support of ANZ's global technical platforms. The division is led by David Pilcher.

The Operations division performs back office functions for our divisions. Institutional Operations is led by Brian Squires; Personal Division Operations is led by Ravichandran Venkataraman, and Shared Services Operations is led by Pat Banerjee.

The Shared Services division provides support and services – including payroll and accounts payable to India and Australian businesses. It is led by Lorraine Rodrigues.

ANZ's operations and technology areas are supported by central functions including Risk, Finance, Communication, Human Resources and Legal.
